Project Lifesaver helps to locate adults and children who wander off due to autism, Alzheimer's, Down syndrome, stroke, dementia and other related short-term memory issues, thereby reducing their risk for serious injury and death when they are alone.
When the President of NHAC read this off of a website she knew it was the right program for Stearns and Benton Counties in Minnesota. She brought it to the board were they then in deed did much needed research before starting their endeavors on the new road of bringing Project Lifesaver to the Minnesota Community!
Here are some of the questions that NHAC investigated before starting to raise money for our community........
Q. What makes this product different than any other GPS Transmitter?
A. With a GPS there is a problem finding someone in a heavily
wooded area, in buildings and during cloudy and rainy weather.
Q. What about other Radio Transmitters that is on the market? Why
this one?
A. With this system, the organization trains Emergency Professional
to use the system. This means that the Police Department and the
Fire Department are the ones that will be the first responders.
